Types of Service Dogs We Raise

Explore the different service dog roles our puppies are raised and prepared for, each requiring specific temperament, stability, and early foundational training.

Mobility Assistance Dogs

Trained to help with balance support, retrieving dropped items, opening doors, and providing steady, reliable assistance for individuals with mobility challenges.

Psychiatric Service Dogs

Raised for calmness and emotional stability. These dogs can assist with anxiety interruption, grounding during panic attacks, PTSD support, and creating personal space in crowded areas.

Autism Support Dogs

Selected for patience, gentleness, and low reactivity. They provide sensory support, reduce stress, promote safety, and help children and adults navigate daily routines.

Medical Alert Dogs

Puppies with strong focus and scent capability are prepared for advanced training to alert to blood sugar changes, fainting, seizures, or other medical-specific needs.

Emotional Support Foundations

While not classified as service dogs, some puppies are placed for emotional support roles—offering comfort, companionship, and stability for those needing daily emotional regulation.

Florida Goldens' Service Dog Process

A clear, guided path that shows how our puppies are raised, evaluated, and prepared for advanced service dog training.

From 8 weeks old, our pre-selected service dog puppies receive early-neurological stimulation, structured socialization, and gentle exposure to real-world sights, sounds, and experiences to build confidence, calmness, and emotional stability.

At 12 weeks old, puppies are placed into approved individual homes where they experience everyday family life. Our trainers conduct scheduled home visits, ensuring each puppy continues progressing with manners, socialization, confidence-building, and early service-role foundations.

From six months to two years old, each service-dog prospect enters an advanced training pathway tailored to their specific role. Under the guidance of our professional trainers, puppies refine task-oriented skills—such as mobility support, psychiatric response, scent-based alerting, and advanced obedience—while maturing into steady, confident, and dependable service partners.
